2010 SPY Awards

Topdrawersoccer.com holds their prestigious Soccer Products of the Year (SPY) Awards at the end of each year and Blue Sombrero is up in two categories, Web and Software Services and Overall Soccer Product. The awards were designed for members of the soccer community to voice their opinions on their favorite soccer products, based on innovation, design, ease of use, and functionality.

Since Blue Sombrero makes this wonderful blog happen, we thought we’d give our readers a chance to vote. No worries if you haven’t worked with the product before, just don’t vote but if you do happen to interact with it, take a second and give us some love. Click here to voice your opinion. You can vote once a day in both categories until December 15th. It does not leave a lot of time so get to it.

Blog Action Day 2009

Blog Action Day is fast approaching. October 15th is the day and climate change is the topic. This year we plan to participate again, but we want your help in narrowing down the topic. What aspect of climate change would you like most to read about? How it affects our kids health when they practice, the affect on operation costs, field maintenance issues, sustainability, green initiatives, or something new? 

In case you forgot what the day stands for, the creative minds behind it describe it as:

Blog Action Day is an annual event that unites the world's bloggers in posting about the same issue on the same day on their own blogs with the aim of sparking discussion around an issue of global importance. Blog Action Day 2009 will be the largest-ever social change event on the web. One day. One issue. Thousands of voices.
